Pulpit in the Saint-Chrysolekerk in Comines

The Catholic Saint Chrysolius Church in neo-Byzantine style is a remarkable piece of heritage. Not your typical church building on the outside, and some remarkable eye-catchers also adorn the interior. The colorful, fully mosaic covered pulpit is one of the elements that immediately catches the eye.

1920 design

The client provided a detailed, pixelated drawing that the Impex design team accurately translated into mosaic. By numbering each sheet, the puzzle could be made on the spot.
The vibrant color palette, as it was designed in 1920 by architect Dom Bellot, shines as ever thanks to the Aquacolor glass mosaics.
